JULIEAPPLE ANNOUNCES HAITI OUTREACH BENEFIT SALE
Eco-chic handbag designer joins Haiti relief efforts with a special sale to raise money and awareness for earthquake relief efforts in Haiti. Julianne Applegate, who recently launched her signature line of “upcycled” JulieApple totes and bags, will donate 50 percent of her online sale proceeds to Haiti Outreach Program for a limited time.
“We manufacture our merchandise using equitable labor in the Dominican Republic, which shares the island of Hispanola with Haiti, so Haiti is near and dear to my heart,” says Applegate. “This is our way to reaching out to displaced and suffering people during this crisis.”

Haiti Outreach Program works to improve the health care, education and economy in the community of Boucan-Carre, Haiti. With Partners In Health and other organizations, Haiti Outreach Program provides critical care, as well as long-term tools and resources, that promote ongoing benefits to facilitate self-sufficiency for the Haitian people.
